Mingo County is the home of the Hatfield & McCoy Feud and founder of the trail system.  With over 700+ miles of trails located all over Mingo County, Backwoods Camping has direct access to some of the most popular trails.  The campground is located less than 1/4 mile from trail #59 Devil Anse , which is in the heart of the trail system.  With access to over 300+  miles of trails without having to move the truck, we make a day of fun easily accessible!!

In addition to access to the best trails, Backwoods Camping is only 6.35 miles from historic Matewan, West Virginia--the site of the famous Hatfield and McCoy feud.  This small community is also accessible from the trails near the campground and requires no movement of your truck to visit.  Backwoods Camping offers lots of fun riding the mountains and seeing all your favorite spots.
